Light Square Gallery
Adelaide Centre for the Arts,

Hours Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
quidnunc (kwid’nunk) n. one who is curious to know everything that is going on.
Mrs Burns Dictionary of Unusual, Obscure, and Preposterous Words by Josefa Heifetz Byrne, Birch Lane Press 1994
quidnunc exhibition presents recent work by artists lecturing at TAFE SA's Adelaide Centre for the Arts and Vizarts, O’Halloran Hill tertiary art schools:
Greg Ackland, John Campbell, Loene Furler, Yasmin Grass, Peter Johnson, Dianne Longley, Anthony Millowick, Bruce Nuske, Maureen Pritchard, Vicki Reynolds, Andrew Stock, Judy Summers, Pei Wu and Heather Young.
The new works stem from an exploration of the words internal/external with a particular reference to the phrase ‘inside out’.
Although the artists have been creating their works separately, an unexpected similarity has emerged in their use of pattern, texture and colour.
These accidental similarities present an extra layer of meaning between people who work together daily and are like-minded.
The theme of responding to the world surrounding them, in particular nature, also abounds throughout the work and strengthens the resulting collaborative exhibition.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue essay written by Fiona Sherwin, Art History Lecturer at Adelaide Centre for the Arts.
TAFE SA’s Adelaide Centre for the Arts and Vizarts. O’Halloran Hill are Helpmann Academy partner schools.
