I hate myself and want to die goes YouTube
July 4th 2008 08:25
After a long stint on the trusty, old-fashioned wireless, I’ve decided to bring the segment, I Hate Myself And Want To Die to YouTube.
In this ongoing series, I chat to an assortment of individuals - ranging from comedians and musicians to novelists and politicians - about their life as angst-ridden, pimple-picking teenagers and the songs that got them through those “delightful,” hormone-charged years.
Accompanying the lively banter and adding to the retro feel, is some defiantly lo-tech cardboard cut-out "animation".
At this stage (early days), I intend to post a new episode each week…but, given my crappy, lo-fi animation takes a surprisingly long time to create (never was a fast cutter-upperer), it will probably work out to be more like a new episode a fortnight.
First up, is English comedian Daniel Kitson, who reveals what it was like to grow up in a quaint, English village with a sack-full of comedic ambitions and a notable absence of "tang".
Please feel free to subscribe to the series and share the link with as many sickos like me who you think will dig it.
Also, if you know of any well-known artists, musos, politicians, actors or novelists who you think might fancy the Hate Myself treatment, please let me know.

Really Long Link
Best regards,
