Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Australia is proud to announce a new sponsorship initiative with Netball Australia’s junior development program San Remo NetSetGO! for children aged 5-10.
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures is an industry leader in providing quality family entertainment and over the last 70 years, consumers have grown up with Disney feature films that have developed an unprecedented heritage and trust amongst families worldwide. Disney films have a magic that evokes memories of ‘favourite Disney moments’ with adults and children alike and is definitely the Disney difference.
"As a brand that is instantly recognisable we are extremely keen to work with partners that share similar values. Netball Australia’s San Remo NetSetGO! junior netball program is a unique avenue to not only align ourselves with Netball’s sporting heritage, but to connect with a new generation through positive and fun experiences," says Managing Director & Vice President Alan Finney.
Kate Palmer, CEO of Netball Australia, said she was thrilled with the new partnership.
"Netball Australia is delighted to be joining forces with such an iconic brand as Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures".
"This is a perfect brand fit for us, bringing the magic of Disney Motion Pictures to the fun and friendly environment of our San Remo NetSetGO! program. We see this sponsorship as a fantastic opportunity for both partners to build their businesses in a very positive way."
Palmer said that the future of netball was extremely bright, with more than 350,000 registered members, one million active participants nationally and a thriving trans-Tasman competition that has experienced significant growth in crowds and television audiences throughout 2009.
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures looks forward to creating many more magical Disney moments with our great line-up for 2010 kicked off by our animated comedy adventure “The Princess and The Frog” set to release in cinemas January 1, 2010. “The Princess and the Frog” marks the return to the Disney musical, reminiscent of classics like “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Lion King” and “Aladdin”, and a return to traditional 2-D hand-drawn animation.
Also set to hit cinemas in 2010 is the re-release of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3D (as a double feature in January), Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland set for March, the re-release of Beauty and the Beast in May and the highly anticipated release of Toy Story 3 in June.
