Experimental short film in pre-production seeking enthusiastic young male actors.
All Men Are Equal Productions and Caringa60 are in pre-production planning mode for a series of short films. They'll be placed on the internet and used to generate further interest and support for a longer film.
The film maker is seeking expressions of interest from young actors hoping to build up their portfolio, to get involved in the project.
Performers of all descriptions are encouraged to apply.
A group of fantasy/anime characters in an immediate future each encounter a travelling wiseman crossing their paths.
ALSO: Guys with any alternative look are encouraged, Sk8ters, Punks, Emos, Townies, Freaks, Alternative alternative, Normal!, Geek, etc. all encouraged to apply. Or are you capable of playing ALL of these TYPES (?!) (if you are we really want to hear from you!!)
The first series of films do not rely on scripted dialogue; they will be mainly improvised and based on simple ideas. This is a no budget shoot so there will be no financial reward, however a copy of the work will be provided to all involved, and experience gathered.
No previous experience necessary, but a willingness to learn how to work in front of a camera and ability to take direction is essential. If you've worked on High School productions and want to try more, if you have taken some classes and feel you'd like to develop more skills, this is a project for you.
Realistic characters required. Emo, Punk, Anime, Alternative "looks" sought after. No budget film means being resourceful and creative - that's what we are looking for in our cast as well. You don't need a great deal (if any) experience if you know how to relax, focus and improvise you will be fine. Martial Arts skills and advantage but not necessary.
Main thing is - must be genuine characters - short will be used to generate further funding for indi feature.

Note: All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Diversity is welcome and nationality not an issue, English as a first language not essential but obviously an understanding and ability to communicate in English is required. Young Writers also encouraged to get in touch. Possibilities for input and mentorship with experienced writer.
