Soul of the Man World Tour
Eugene, recently nominated for 2 American Blues Music Awards (formerly the WC Handy Awards) for Best Soul Blues CD and Best Soul Blues Artist, is often likened to Sam Cooke due to his beautiful soul & gospel tinged voice. And with references to BB King popping up frequently while describing his guitar skills, there’s a lot to like about this welcome regular visitor to Australia, and the feeling is very much mutual. Smooth as butter, soulful as you like, “the man is a veritable blues machine” while oozing enough genuine charm to light up a small city – something he does regularly on his frequent travels, which in 2008 included trips to China, Iceland, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Memphis Tennessee and NYC.
