Other-wise

Adelaide: Tues – Sat 23-27 Nov

A gutsy transgender one-person theatre, magical animation, movement, comedy & multimedia show Sunny is back from sellout seasons in the San Francisco International Arts Festival and the USA National Queer Arts Festival.

Sunny Drake

Other-wise is a letter to Sunny’s family come to life on the stage, exposing his emotions and experiences as a transgender person. Animated creatures whisk us into worlds of magic as Sunny explores boy tits, learning to fly and getting comfortable with contradictions and not knowing. As funny as it is moving, Other- wise is a testament to the courage it takes to be true to oneself.

“San Francisco crowds packed the house to the entertaining, moving and hilarious show.” USA National Queer Arts Festival Artistic Director, Pamela Penniston

“... funny, energetic, poignant and thoughtful”. Real Time

“... charming, heart-warming, uncompromising and candid, yet kind and sincere”. The Advertiser (Adelaide).
