Launch ‘ESCAPEE’ REMIX COMPETITION
and ANNOUNCE SUPPORTS FOR NATIONAL TOUR
NEW SINGLE ‘ESCAPEE’ REMIX BUNDLE OUT FRIDAY ON ITUNES
It’s been a big couple of weeks for Architecture in Helsinki. They arrived home from a two-month tour abroad taking in North America, UK & Europe right before touching down to play a transcendent homecoming set at this year’s Splendour in the Grass Festival at Woodfordia, QLD. Drawing an immense crowd that overflowed the Mix Up tent way past capacity, the show was one of the band’s favourite live experiences of all time.
To top it all off they were thrilled to have their new album Moment Bends named as one of the first nomination for triple j’s prestigious ‘J Award’, marking their album as one of the very best Australian records of 2011.
NEW SINGLE ‘ESCAPEE’ REMIX BUNDLE OUT FRIDAY ON ITUNES
With Moment Bends on the cusp of top 40 on the ARIA Album Chart, this week will see the digital release of their new single Escapee including a killer remix from Swedish heartthrobs Lo Fi Fnk and acoustic versions of Contact High & Escapee.
To celebrate its release, the band has decided to share the parts of their new single Escapee and throw their first ever remix competition. To get involved just simply follow the instructions on the website from here:
HOW TO ENTER THE ESCAPEE REMIX COMPETITION
The chosen winner will receive Moment Bends LP on vinyl, Contact High 7", tees, sweater, a double pass to a show anywhere in the world and Modular will include your remix on a special newsletter mailout to a select international group of bloggers and dj’s. Get cracking as the contest ends in a month’s time on September 9.
In other Architecture In Helsinki news, the band set off later this month on a National lap of the map and are more than chuffed to announce a host of very special guests for the tour including New Zealand’s frantic romantics Cut Off Your Hands, gorgeous skewed pop sweethearts Oscar Martin and a host of other Australian favourites coming along for the ride in various cities including Geoffrey O’Connor, Mitzi, Scenic, Felicity Groom and more.
