First Australian shows just days away!

Sydney and Melbourne, get ready to go to the Dogs.

It's not long now until DAMNDOGS are unleashed for the first time on Australian audiences. The primed new project from Chris Cester and Mark Wilson, teaming up with longtime friends Mitch McIvor and Louis Macklin will play two very special shows in Melbourne and Sydney in July.

Full of the energy that a fresh start brings, DAMNDOGS are a swaggering bundleof sleazy rhythms 'n' punkish doom disco. Their debut single 'Very First Century' was recorded with producer Scott Horscroft (The Presets, Little Red) at BJB Studios in Sydney, and can be heard at the band's just-launched website www.damndogsmusic.com right now.

LOCAL SUPPORTS ANNOUNCED!

With April loaming, supports have been announced for the very special three-date Australian tour of punk rock legends, DEAD KENNEDYS. A select handful of our finest local punk acts have joined the shows;

The Duvtons, Dementia 13 and Rust.

Classic Aussie outfit The Duvtons will open in Melbourne at Billboard on Wednesday 6 April. The Duvtons have made waves throughout a long and lasting career in the punk world with their hard-hitting live shows. They have played alongside acts including CKY and Guttermouth and they are soon to add DEAD KENNEDYS to the list. Punk rock meets Pink Floyd – get ready for this!

At Brisbane’s Hi-Fi on Thursday 7 April, Dementia 13 will take the stage. Hailing from the Sunshine Coast, Dementia 13 have big name supports under their belts like The Hard Ons, Strung Out and Toe To Toe. The lads have been forging their way into the Australian punk scene and have successfully insulted audiences from all corners of the Gregory’s road maps.

Rust is a Sydney group featuring members of some of Australia's most prominent punk rock bands including Crucified Venus, Crankcase, Rule 303, World War 24 and Black Rose. Rust will open for DEAD KENNEDYS in Sydney at the Manning bar on Saturday 9 April. Rust are a rock‘n roll road train of a band and their third studio album, Lean Mean Street Machine, is out now.

DEAD KENNEDYS formed in San Francisco in 1978 when vocalist Jello Biafra answered a music paper advert placed by guitarist East Bay Ray. They then added Klaus Flouride, drummer Ted, and a second guitarist known to posterity simply as 6025. The latter soon departed, while Ted was replaced in 1981 by D.H. Peligro. Lead vocals are now sung by former Wynona Riders singer Ron "Skip" Greer.

Live, DEAD KENNEDYS are a combination of chaos and theatrics. With their current line-up they still perform with the same thrills that made the DEAD KENNEDYS the name that it is.

His reign as King of the Blues has been as long as that of any monarch on earth. Chugg Entertainment is thrilled to announce that Mississippi blues impresario, BB King, will be making his long awaited return to Australia in Easter 2011.

Already announced for Byron Bay’s Bluesfest, BB King will also be appearing at Sydney’s State Theatre on Tuesday 12th April and Hisense Arena in Melbourne on Saturday 16th April.

Riley B. King – better known as BB King – has been making records and touring longer than most of his fans have been alive. For more than sixty years, he has defined the blues for a worldwide audience and is one of the last surviving links to the blues that gave birth to rock ‘n roll as we know it. This man has earned every ounce of veneration he gets.

From humble beginnings as a hungry young blues man who at age 12 bought his first guitar for $15, BB King has been recording since the 1940s and has released over 75 albums, many of them classics, and won 15 Grammy® Awards.

He was ranked #3 on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time,” and has been inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the National Medal of the Arts, the Kennedy Center Honors, the Grammy® Lifetime Achievement Award and the NARM (National Association of Recording Merchandisers) Chairman’s Award, among many other awards. In a special ceremony at the Library of Congress, Librarian of Congress, James H. Billington presented B.B. with a “Living Legend” medal in honour of his achievements as a musician and ambassador for the blues.

In 2008, BB King released the Grammy® Award winning One Kind Favor, a new album featuring covers of old blues songs from his early influences. The set revisits the music that influenced B.B. in the 1950s, the beginning of King’s extraordinary professional journey that, literally, changed the texture of modern blues playing.

Having performed more than 10,000 concerts, it is clear that time has no apparent effect on BB, other than to make him more popular, more cherished and more relevant than ever. Chugg Entertainment today announces that come March, one of the greatest musicians and legendary guitarists of our generation is set to ignite Australian & New Zealand shores. Toting a style that defies definition, immediately recognizable yet unlike any other, Santana's fusion of Latin rock, blues, soul and jazz comes in full swing on stage in a way that transcends time and the limits of genre typecasting.

The GUITAR HEAVEN TOUR begins on Sunday 13th March at Sandalford Estate Swan Valley in Perth, followed by Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday 16th March, and then the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Thursday 17th March before heading to New Zealand for shows at Vector Arena in Auckland on Sunday 20th March and Christchurch's CBS Canterbury Arena on Tuesday 22nd March.

The tour then heads back to Australia for a performance at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Thursday 24th March, then Sydney's Acer Arena on Friday 25th March.

The tour then concludes with a very special performance at Hope Estate in the Hunter Valley on Saturday 26th March, where Santana will be joined by very special guests The Doobie Brothers.

For forty years and as many albums later, Santana has sold more than 90 million records and reached more than 100 million fans at concerts worldwide. To date, Santana has won ten Grammy® Awards, including a record-tying nine for a single project, 1999's Supernatural (including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for "Smooth"). In 1998, the group was ushered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, whose web page on their induction notes, "Guitarist Carlos Santana is one of rock's true virtuosos and guiding lights." Among many other honours, Carlos Santana has also been cited by Rolling Stone as #15 on their list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time." His newest CD, GUITAR HEAVEN…THE GREATEST GUITAR CLASSICS OF ALL TIMES (ARISTA) (featuring "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"), was released in late September 2010.
