XAVIER RUDD takes off on his extensive tour through Australia over the months of November and December.
Having been making steady progress over the past five years or so Rudd has gone from scratching out his tours from pub to pub and interview stop-offs at community radio stations to having the machine behind him carving out the way.
It is a great situation for all concerned as Mr Rudd is astonishing to watch on stage. Xavier Rudd creates amazing music with texture and meaning, as well as a very watchable gig; he sits solo among his array of instruments and creates more ambient music and mood that anyone else I know.
For an alt.folk type to come so far in Australia in such a short time is no easy feat. If you have never had the joy of checking him out – this tour is a good time.
